How does Pruuva differ from AI detection tools like Turnitin or GPTZero?

AI detection tools analyze text to guess whether it was AI-generated. They produce probability scores, not proof. Pruuva takes a different approach: it asks students to demonstrate understanding of their own work through artifact-specific probes and produces evidence instructors can review.

What does the implementation process look like?

We recommend starting with a pilot in one or two departments. Faculty assign assessments alongside existing work — no course redesign needed. After the pilot, we help you define institutional policies and roll out with LMS integration and centralized reporting.

Is Pruuva fair for non-native English speakers?

Pruuva is designed to evaluate demonstrated understanding, not language fluency or prose style. Students demonstrate what they know, and instructors review evidence rather than relying on a detector flag. Assessments are currently conducted in English.

How does Pruuva handle accessibility?

Extended time accommodations, type-to-respond mode, and screen reader support are built in. Pruuva is designed to meet institutional accessibility requirements.

What happens to student data?

Student data is handled with encryption, consent records, access controls, and configurable retention policies. Pruuva does not use student submissions or assessment conversations to train its own generative AI models.

Can Pruuva integrate with our LMS?

LMS integration with Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and Brightspace is planned and in active development. During early access, assessments are assigned and completed through the Pruuva platform directly.
